The majority of the repertoire listings in most categories are from the Renaissance, Baroque and Classical/Romantic through mid 20th century eras. Why? Because most women and minority classical composers from the 21st century are widely known, commissioned and performed; and more obviously, deceased composers cannot promote their own works.
